Timing in this animation is very important and prominent. There's a very clear distinction between the slower, more tense scenes, and the fast-paced action scenes. The animation becomes much slower when there isn't as much fighting going on (such as when Mega Man (the blue one) is scanning the building for danger, and when Samus (the orange one) flies off in her Gunship) and it becomes significantly faster when the fighting is happening, like when Samus performs a massive combo on Mega Man before launching him into a building, or when the two team up to defeat SA-X (the monster creature) at the end of the video. The difference between the pacing and timing is used to set the mood for the different moments. The animator wants you to be much more excited and on the edge of your seat during the fighting, so they made the scenes fast-paced and had a lot happening. They also wanted you to be more observant and pay attention to what is happening during the slower scenes, so they made the characters easier on the eyes and made their animations cleaner and smoother to invoke that slower timing and pacing.
